Breaking Down the Full Spectrum Stigma

Learn why hemp experts prefer full spectrum CBD

The most important thing to understand about CBD is the 3 types that can be used in products. CBD oils (and other products) MUST state the type of CBD used. The three types are: isolate, broad spectrum and full spectrum. Learn more about the types of CBD, here.

Cybin Beauty believes that full spectrum CBD is the best to use with our products because of the entourage effect. This term is used to describe the enhanced effects of multiple cannabinoid compounds synergistically work together to provide maximum benefits for the consumer. We believe that isolate and broad spectrum are just not comparable when it comes to the long term benefits and results.

Full spectrum CBD is often criticized because there is less than .3% of THC in the products, making them not psychoactive. A fun fact about CBD is that is actually decreases the psychoactive side effects of THC. So let's talk about the elephant in the room when it comes to full spectrum.

Many people debate that full spectrum can make you test positive for marijuana/thc on a drug test. It is important to understand that everyone metabolizes THC at different rates and that can affect the levels in your body. If you are taking too much of your full spectrum, there is a potential to test positive. We suggest always letting any person/business testing you that you are taking CBD for health reasons and to provide them with information about the brand so they understand. Many career fields have changed their stances on testing for THC, but we find being honest can potentially change the outcome of a positive test. Especially when it comes down to health reasons.

Cybin Beauty has had a number of customers use our products and test weekly for over a month and had negative results. So we can only speak for our brand. BUT, after talking with some hemp industry experts we have found that sometimes brands are not honest. They are using stronger strains with large amounts of THC in them without letting their consumers know. Sometimes it is randomly in batches of products, sometimes it may be consistently higher. These companies, in our opinion, are just in it for the quick profit. Which is why it is important to trust the brand you are purchasing from.

Always ask questions to brands before you buy to ensure you can trust them. And always do your research.
